Husk
A Husk, a unique variant of the zombie in Minecraft, primarily spawns in desert biomes. Unlike regular zombies, Husks do not burn in sunlight, and their melee attacks inflict the Hunger status effect. They typically spawn in deserts with a light level of 0. In Java Edition, they spawn in groups of 4 directly under the sky, replacing 80% of zombies in desert biomes. In Bedrock Edition, Husks spawn on the surface in groups of 2-4, replacing 70% of zombies. Husks behave similarly to zombies, actively targeting players, villagers, and iron golems. Their attacks cause hunger, unless they hold an item or are blocked by a shield. They can break doors and trample turtle eggs. Notably, Husks transform into regular zombies when submerged in water for an extended time, and can further turn into Drowned. Husks also appear in Minecraft Dungeons, where they are tougher than regular zombies and more difficult to stagger. Overall, the Husk is a dangerous mob that players should be cautious of in the desert biome.
