Minecart
In Minecraft, a minecart is a train-like vehicle entity that runs on rails. Players can retrieve a minecart by attacking it, or with a pickaxe if the attack cooldown is reset. Minecarts are destroyed upon contact with cacti or when shot with arrows. Besides regular minecarts, there are special types, such as the minecart with chest for storing items, the minecart with command block, obtainable through commands or the Creative inventory, and the minecart with spawner, which is generated by commands. Minecarts can be placed on rails and moved along them by pushing. Players can ride minecarts using the "use" key, and slowly move forward by pressing the forward key. If a minecart leaves the rails, it can move on blocks and "snap" back to tracks upon contact. Minecarts have a speed limit, which can be increased by powered rails, and can also be changed by slopes. Minecarts can be merged to form trains; merged minecarts maintain speed without powered rails when traveling straight. Additionally, minecarts can pick up most mobs, although they can't control them, except for jockeys in Java Edition. After version 1.19, minecarts no longer split when broken but spill their contents like chests, making them usable for instant unloading systems.
