Spider
Spiders are common mobs in Minecraft. They typically spawn in dark areas and have the unique ability to climb walls. Spiders attack by biting and can lunge at their targets. They become aggressive in low light levels but remain neutral in well-lit areas unless provoked. Spiders can spawn in 3x1x3 spaces in the Overworld, except in mushroom fields and deep dark biomes. In Hard mode, spiders may sometimes spawn with status effects. There is also a 1% chance for a spider to spawn with a skeleton riding it, forming a spider jockey. Upon death, spiders drop string and spider eyes, which are used for brewing potions and breeding armadillos. While spiders do not inflict poison, they are immune to it. Spiders and cave spiders are the two main types of spiders in the game, with cave spiders being smaller and inflicting poison, typically found in abandoned mineshafts.
