Strider

Original Title:Strider

Languages:

  • Chinese: 炽足兽
  • English: Strider
In Minecraft, the Strider is a passive mob native to the Nether. They can walk on lava and be ridden by the player. To ride a Strider, you need a saddle, and their direction can be controlled using a warped fungus on a stick, similar to how pigs are controlled with a carrot on a stick. Striders spawn in every Nether biome, typically in groups of 2 to 4 on lava surfaces with air blocks above. In Java Edition, Striders are the only passive mob in the Nether, with spawning attempts every 400 game ticks. In Bedrock Edition, they share the animal population cap with hoglins, and their spawn rate depends on the biome. There is a 1 in 10 chance that a baby Strider will spawn riding on an adult Strider, and a 1 in 30 chance that a zombified piglin will spawn riding on a Strider, with the Strider spawning with a saddle and the zombified piglin holding a warped fungus on a stick. Striders are immune to lava damage but are damaged by water, rain, and splash water bottles. They turn purple and shiver when out of lava, moving slower. They can be bred by feeding them warped fungus, granting the player experience.
