In Minecraft, "Buffet Mode" is a world generation type that allows players to customize the world's terrain and biomes when creating a new world. Introduced since version 1.13, it allows players to further customize the landscape beyond the basic Superflat world. Unlike the "Single Biome" world type, "Buffet Mode" provides a broader range of choices, including three main world types: the Overworld, Nether-like caves, and End-like floating islands. Within these types, players can select any biome, which is then generated in the chosen dimension. This enables players to create unique landscapes, such as a jungle biome on End-style floating islands or an Overworld biome in Nether-like caves. Additionally, all temperatures and naturally generated structures are consistent with the chosen biome. "Buffet Mode" offers a great deal of flexibility in creating various game experiences. Older versions of Buffet Mode also offered extra generator types, which were removed in Java Edition 1.18 due to bugs and lack of support.
