  • English: Buried Treasure
Buried treasure is a naturally generated structure in Minecraft, typically consisting of a buried loot chest. The chest is primarily buried on beaches, and rarely on the ocean floor. Buried treasure is the only source of the heart of the sea, which can be used to craft a conduit. Players can locate buried treasure using explorer maps. The treasure chest is usually covered by sand or gravel, and sometimes by stone blocks. In Java Edition, buried treasure always generates at chunk coordinate 9 (out of 0 through 15) on both the X and Z axes and always faces east. In Bedrock Edition, buried treasure always generates at chunk coordinate 8 (out of 0 through 15) on the X and Z axes. A heart of the sea is always present in every buried treasure chest, along with other random items. Buried treasure is a primary means for players to obtain the heart of the sea and is therefore very important. Discovering buried treasure requires obtaining a treasure map, usually found in shipwrecks or underwater ruins. Players need to find the exact location of buried treasure based on the marks on the treasure map. After finding the treasure, players need to dig around the treasure chest to open it. In addition to the heart of the sea, the treasure chest may also contain a variety of loot such as diamonds, emeralds, gold ingots, and prismarine shards.
