Coral reefs are naturally generated structures in Minecraft's warm ocean biomes. They consist of multiple clusters of coral blocks, coral, and coral fans, coming in various shapes, sizes, and colors. The distribution of coral reefs is noise-based, meaning that they are densely populated in some areas of the warm ocean floor, and completely absent in others. In Java Edition, there are three types of coral reefs: coral trees, coral claws, and coral mushrooms, composed of coral blocks, coral, coral fans, and sea pickles. In Bedrock Edition, coral reefs are mainly divided into huge corals and small corals, with huge corals further divided into coral reefs and coral crusts, and small corals classified as sea anemones and coral hangs. Coral reefs not only add color and diversity to the game, but also serve as habitats for many aquatic creatures.
