Desert Pyramids, also known as Desert Temples, are naturally generated structures in Minecraft, typically found in desert biomes. They are primarily built from sandstone and contain a central room and a hidden basement. Beneath the floor of the central room, four treasure chests are hidden, protected by a TNT trap; players must be careful not to trigger the pressure plate. In version 1.20 and later, Desert Temples also generate a hidden archaeology room on the side, where suspicious sand is buried, allowing players to perform archaeological digs and acquire additional items. The top of the Desert Pyramid usually protrudes above ground, allowing entry through the window on top, even if the main structure is buried in sand. The towers of the pyramid are decorated with orange terracotta forming a pattern similar to the ancient Egyptian Ankh symbol. These structures are not only important locations for exploration, but also offer rich treasures for players, while being filled with dangers.
