  • English: Desert Well
Desert wells are a rare, naturally generated structure in Minecraft, found exclusively in desert biomes. They are constructed from sandstone blocks and slabs, with a pool of water at the center. The primary function of desert wells is to provide players with a scarce source of water in the desert. They also serve as decorative elements, breaking up the monotony of the desert landscape. Water in the well can be collected using buckets, though water taken from the sides won't regenerate, while the center water block does infinitely regenerate. In addition to providing water, desert wells have two hidden suspicious sand blocks at their base that can be brushed to uncover various items. The generation probability of desert wells is 1/1000 in Java Edition and 1/500 in Bedrock Edition. While desert wells themselves contain no loot, they can sometimes be found near villages, abandoned mineshafts, or desert temples.
