Huge fungi are unique plant structures in Minecraft, primarily found in the Nether. They come in two variants: huge crimson fungi and huge warped fungi, which generate naturally in the crimson forests and warped forests biomes, respectively. These massive fungi can be considered the Nether's equivalent of trees, with their stems usable as wood to craft planks and other items. Naturally generated huge fungi can have stems that are either a 1x1 column or a 3x3 plus shape, whereas player-grown ones are always 1x1. The tops of huge fungi consist of wart blocks and shroomlights, with weeping vines sometimes growing on crimson variants. Players can accelerate growth using bone meal and create automated farms with pistons. Huge fungi serve as an important source of wood and are also a distinct decorative block. In-game mechanics allow players to cultivate and harvest huge fungi through various methods to maximize resource acquisition. Numerous farm designs, including semi-automatic and automatic options, exist for efficient resource gathering.
