In Minecraft, the obsidian platform is a structure composed of 5x1x5 obsidian blocks that generates when a player enters the End through an end portal. The platform always spawns at coordinates (100, 48, 0), usually far from the main island of the End, making it challenging to reach. Players spawn on top of the platform facing towards the main island. If the platform is destroyed or blocks are placed above it, the platform will regenerate upon re-entry to the End, and any blocks within 3 blocks above the obsidian are replaced with air. This platform serves as an important starting point for exploration in the End and a renewable source of obsidian since it can be mined repeatedly and regenerated. Obsidian is a hard, blast-resistant block often used for crafting Nether portals and constructing explosion-proof structures.
