Ore
In Minecraft, ores are geological resources that players mine to obtain materials for crafting tools, weapons, armor, and redstone circuits. Ores typically appear as veins beneath the surface, characterized by differently colored shards or gems embedded in stone. The distribution, altitude, and rarity vary for each ore, with coal being more common across all biomes and diamonds being very rare and deep underground. Mining different ores requires specific pickaxes, for example, a stone pickaxe can mine iron ore, whereas diamond ore needs an iron pickaxe or better. Besides the ores found in the overworld like coal, iron, gold, and diamond, unique ores like Nether Quartz and Ancient Debris can be found in the Nether. Ore veins, a rare underground terrain feature, provide massive amounts of particular ores and usually comprise a filler rock and high concentrations of the associated ore. Various ores are used for different crafting recipes, and some, like redstone, can be used in circuit mechanisms. In essence, ores are essential resources in Minecraft, fundamental for player survival and progress.
