Weather
In Minecraft, the weather system consists of rain and thunderstorms, which are temporary but global phenomena affecting the entire game world. Weather occurrences depend on various factors, including the temperature and altitude of the current biome. Players with cheats enabled can change the weather using commands such as `/weather rain`, `/weather thunder`, or `/weather clear`, or disable weather cycles with `/gamerule doWeatherCycle false`. Different weather conditions offer different gameplay experiences. Rain reduces light levels and extinguishes fires, but not those on netherrack. Snow occurs in cold biomes, generating snow layers on the ground. Thunderstorms further darken the world and include lightning strikes, which can alter certain mobs like turning creepers into charged creepers and villagers into witches. Overall, Minecraft's weather system is not just a visual change, but it directly impacts gameplay and player strategies.
