The Basalt Deltas is a volcanic biome in the Nether of Minecraft, characterized by its rugged terrain and abundance of basalt and blackstone. The biome's landscape is primarily composed of basalt and blackstone, featuring a distinctive dull lilac fog and ash particles floating in the air. It often contains archipelagos of varying sizes around lava seas, lava pools, and basalt columns, making the terrain jagged and difficult to navigate. The Basalt Deltas is challenging due to its hazardous terrain, high spawn rate of magma cubes, and the presence of ghasts. While sparsely populated, magma cubes and striders can be found here. This biome is also a source of blackstone, which can be used for crafting stone tools and building. Despite the harsh conditions, its abundance of building materials and relatively low population makes it a reasonable place to establish a base. In Minecraft Dungeons, the Basalt Deltas also serve as a mission location where players must navigate across the lava safely using ancient technology.
