The birch forest is a common biome in Minecraft, characterized by its dense growth of birch trees. These forests typically generate near other woodland biomes and feature birch trees throughout the landscape. Unlike regular forests, wolves do not spawn in birch forests. There are two variants of the birch forest: the regular birch forest and the old growth birch forest. Old growth birch forests feature taller birch trees with trunks up to 14 blocks high, and trail ruins may generate there. In addition to birch trees, you can find scattered rose bushes, lilacs, peonies, and lilies of the valley, with occasional beehives on the trees. Recent Minecraft snapshot versions have added wildflowers and a falling leaves effect to birch forests, hinting at a potential visual overhaul that could make them more appealing. Despite not having any unique structures or mobs, the abundant building materials, subtle landscapes, and diverse wildlife make birch forests an excellent place to set up a base.
