Frozen Peaks

Frozen Peaks in Minecraft is a snowy mountainous biome characterized by its large ice-covered peaks. It was added in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II. The terrain of Frozen Peaks is dominated by snow, snow blocks, and glaciers of packed ice, with occasional small blobs of regular ice. The biome's steep sides, often facing east or north, feature packed ice cliffs covered with a thin layer of snow, making it a dangerous and challenging environment. Vegetation is sparse in Frozen Peaks, with only goats able to survive in this harsh environment. They typically generate next to plains, forests, and tundra biomes. Frozen Peaks tend to generate smoother and smaller hills, although they can also form taller, more jagged peaks, though less sharp and pointy compared to the Jagged Peaks biome. Frozen Peaks experience snowfall and host hostile mobs at night such as spiders, zombies, skeletons, and creepers. Players can find blocks including ice, packed ice, snow blocks, and stone, and deep down, coal, iron, gold, diamond, redstone, and copper ore. Notably, a free Frozen Peaks map is available for download on the Minecraft Bedrock Marketplace, allowing players to experience animal perspectives and learn about the effects of climate change.
