Mushroom Fields

Original Title:Mushroom Fields

Languages:

  • Chinese: 蘑菇岛
  • English: Mushroom Fields
Mushroom fields, commonly referred to as mushroom islands, are a rare biome in Minecraft that almost always generate as islands surrounded by deep oceans. They are the only place in the game where mycelium and mooshrooms are found and have the special property that no hostile mobs normally spawn in them. Mushroom fields usually generate as flat islands with mycelium instead of grass blocks on the surface. Grass blocks placed in this biome take on a bright green color similar to jungles. A large number of brown and red mushrooms cover the land, and it is one of the few biomes where huge mushrooms can naturally generate. Besides mooshrooms, only bats (Java Edition only) and glow squids spawn naturally in this biome. Nevertheless, monster spawners still spawn mobs, raids still spawn illagers, and wandering traders along with trader llamas can still spawn here. Additionally, lightning strikes can transform red mooshrooms into brown mooshrooms, and vice-versa. Phantoms also spawn in this biome if the player hasn't slept for three nights. Mushroom Field Shore is a technical variant of Mushroom Fields, representing the shores and rivers of the mushroom fields, with flatter terrain, often generated at the border of mushroom fields and oceans.
