  • English: Stony Shore
In Minecraft, the Stony Shore is a unique biome often found at the edge of an ocean biome and mountainous biomes like the Windswept Hills or Windswept Forest, serving as a smooth transition between them. As the name suggests, the Stony Shore is primarily composed of stone with strips of gravel. Unlike regular beaches, Stony Shores typically feature steep drops directly into the water, sometimes forming cliffs. While devoid of trees or vegetation, players can find blocks like stone, diorite, granite, coal ore, and dirt. Underground, standard ores like iron, gold, and diamond can be found. Common hostile mobs such as creepers, endermen, skeletons, spiders, witches, and zombies spawn on Stony Shores at night. In Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, the Stony Shore has specific biome IDs, and players can use seeds to create worlds that spawn in a Stony Shore biome. In Bedrock Edition, buried treasure may sometimes generate at high altitudes in Stony Shores.
