Swamp
In Minecraft, the swamp is a unique wetland biome known for its murky waters, dense vegetation, and unique creatures. Swamps are typically found in flat terrain near sea level with high erosion values. They are found in various temperature clusters, but not snowy regions. Swamps never directly border the ocean, but are instead separated by other biomes. The water in swamps is typically gray-green, with lily pads dotting the surface and dead bushes on land. Unique plants include blue orchids, and in the Java edition, seagrass at the bottom of the water. Swamps can also generate rare underground fossils. Additionally, swamps are the natural habitat of slimes, which spawn at night, particularly during a full moon. Swamp huts, which house a witch and a black cat, can also be found. Variations of the swamp include the mangrove swamp, with its distinctive mangrove trees, mud, and teal-colored water. These features make the swamp a challenging and unique biome in Minecraft, full of resources to explore.
