The Windswept Savanna is a rare and rugged biome in Minecraft, characterized by its towering peaks, cliffs, massive overhangs, and floating islands. This biome's terrain is highly irregular, contrasting sharply with the flat, open plains of a regular savanna. Windswept Savannas typically border warm or temperate biomes and do not generate adjacent to cold or snowy biomes. Survival in a Windswept Savanna is particularly dangerous due to the steep terrain, where players are susceptible to fall damage. Furthermore, the shadows cast by large overhangs can cause hostile mobs to spawn even during daylight hours. There are no villages or pillager outposts within this biome. Common blocks include grass, coarse dirt, and stone, with sparse vegetation consisting mainly of scattered acacia and oak trees. While the mobs found here are similar to those in the regular savanna, exploration and habitation are difficult due to the challenging terrain, making it one of the more dangerous areas in the game. Players should therefore exercise caution and prepare adequately when visiting a Windswept Savanna.
