Dolphin's Grace

Dolphin's Grace is a status effect in Minecraft that significantly increases a player's swimming speed in water. This effect is granted when a player swims near a dolphin. Dolphin's Grace reduces the friction of water on the player, allowing them to move faster and lose speed more slowly, though it also makes changing direction somewhat sluggish. Without the Depth Strider enchantment, Dolphin's Grace allows players to travel underwater at 9.8 m/s, faster than a boat. Combining it with Depth Strider significantly increases movement speed, adding 8.983 m/s per level of Depth Strider. In Java Edition, Dolphin's Grace displays a status icon, while in Bedrock Edition, players gain the speed boost without an icon. Invisibility reduces the range at which dolphins grant this effect, unless the player is wearing at least one piece of armor.
