Hero of The Village

"Hero of the Village" is a status effect in Minecraft that players receive upon successfully defending a village from a raid. This effect lasts for 40 minutes. In the Java Edition, players receive gifts from villagers and discounts when trading with them, while in Bedrock Edition, players only receive discounts. The discount level depends on the level of "Hero of the Village"; level I provides a 30% discount, and each subsequent level increases the discount by 6.25%, with the maximum level V providing a 55% discount in Java Edition and level I providing a 30% discount in Bedrock Edition. Additionally, in the Bedrock Edition, when the "Hero of the Village" effect is activated, a short animation similar to a totem of undying is displayed on the screen. Players can remove this effect by drinking milk, using a totem of undying, or dying. Notably, in the Bedrock Edition, the discount effect is only valid within the village where the raid was defended. Raids occur when players with the Bad Omen status enter a village, triggering an attack on the village by pillagers and their allies.
