Resistance

In gaming, 'resistance' generally refers to a mechanism that reduces or negates damage taken. In 'Path of Exile', resistances are crucial for mitigating damage. Different damage types such as fire, lightning, cold, and chaos damage have their corresponding resistance values. Players can increase their resistances through equipment, skills, and passive abilities to reduce damage. Resistance is typically capped at 75%, but this can be increased by certain means. Negative resistance will cause the player to take more damage, down to a minimum of -200%. In 'Minecraft', there is also a resistance effect. This effect reduces damage from all sources, such as mobs, explosions, lava, and fire. The effectiveness of the resistance effect varies based on the level, with higher levels reducing damage by a greater percentage. Unlike 'Path of Exile', the resistance effect in 'Minecraft' is a status effect that can be gained from potions, enchanted golden apples, etc. There is also a fire resistance effect in 'Minecraft', which provides complete immunity to fire damage.
