Dr. Briefs

Dr. Brief, or Burīfu Hakase (ブリーフ博士), is a prominent character in the Dragon Ball series. He is the eccentric and brilliant scientist who founded Capsule Corporation. He's the father of Bulma and the grandfather of Trunks and Bulla. Dr. Brief is considered one of the wealthiest and most intelligent people in the world. He lives in West City with his wife and numerous pets. Like his family, his name is a pun on "briefs." Dr. Brief is easy-going and friendly, rarely leaving his home, even in the face of danger. During the Majin Buu Saga, he and his wife refused to leave their pets despite Capsule Corporation being targeted. He is often tinkering with gadgets, surrounded by his beloved animals. His favorite pet is a small black cat called "Tama" (or "Scratch" in the English dub), which often sits on his shoulder. Dr. Brief is crucial in the series, providing essential technology, such as spaceships and gravity training rooms for the main characters.
