Panchy

Panchy (パンチー) is Bulma's mother and Dr. Brief's wife in the Dragon Ball series. She is also the maternal grandmother of Trunks and Bulla. Initially unnamed in the original works, fans often referred to her as 'Bikini.' Later, series creator Akira Toriyama stated that he would have chosen the name 'Panchy,' a pun on 'panties,' which aligns with the Brief family's underwear-themed naming convention. Panchy is characterized by her almost always closed eyes, blonde hair, and fashionable attire and jewelry. She has a somewhat ditzy yet kind personality, showing great care for her grandchildren and family, albeit sometimes a little clueless. Panchy also has a love for sweets and often displays her enthusiasm for food. While not a fighter, she is an integral part of Bulma's family, providing support and assistance at crucial moments.
