Korin

Korin, also known as Karin, is a recurring character in the Dragon Ball franchise. He is an immortal cat deity who is over 800 years old and resides at the top of Korin Tower. A master of martial arts, he is revered as the "God of Martial Arts" and is also the cultivator of Senzu Beans, which have remarkable healing and energy-restoring properties. He appears as a white cat with perpetually closed eyes, often carrying a wooden staff. Korin has a calm and gentle demeanor, but he is also a strict and playful instructor. He was Master Roshi's teacher and also played a significant role as a mentor to Goku, teaching him the technique of climbing the Korin Tower and assisting him in becoming stronger. Korin Tower is located in the Sacred Land of Korin, and below it live Bora and Upa. Korin lives at the top of the tower with Yajirobe, and often provides the Z Fighters with Senzu Beans, aiding them in their battles. The design of Korin was inspired by Akira Toriyama’s own cat. He is an indispensable character in the Dragon Ball world as both a powerful martial artist and a wise mentor.
