Master Mutaito

Master Mutaito is a legendary martial artist from the Dragon Ball series, considered one of Earth's earliest saviors. He was the teacher of Master Roshi and Master Shen, imparting profound martial arts skills including the fundamentals of Ki. Mutaito demonstrated exceptional power in his battle against King Piccolo, and developed the Evil Containment Wave, a potent technique to seal away evil. Though he ultimately sacrificed his life to seal King Piccolo, his sacrifice brought peace to Earth and his teachings influenced future martial artists. Mutaito primarily appears in flashbacks within the anime, notably during Goku's time travel via the Time Room where they trained together, with Mutaito imparting the basics of Ki. He is remembered for his great martial arts prowess and as a guardian of the Earth.
