Mai

Mai (マイ) is a character in the Dragon Ball series, a female minion of Emperor Pilaf who often works alongside Shu. Although quite intelligent, she and Shu consistently fail in their objectives. Mai is a beautiful and calculating enemy who relies on weaponry and technology. Her serious demeanor contrasts with Shu's comical personality. In the early Dragon Ball series, she frequently attempts to steal the Dragon Balls to help Pilaf achieve his world domination ambitions. She is typically seen wearing a teal trench coat with a red star insignia and carries a gun. In Dragon Ball Super, she is turned into a child due to a botched wish, and forms a friendship with Trunks, even developing romantic feelings for Future Trunks. Despite starting as a villain, Mai gradually becomes more amicable in later stories, becoming an ally to the heroes while retaining her loyalty to Pilaf and occasional comical mishaps.
