Staff Officer Black

Staff Officer Black, (ブラック参謀, Burakku Sanbō) is a character from the Dragon Ball series, first appearing in the Dragon Ball manga and anime. He serves as Commander Red's adjutant in the Red Ribbon Army, and doesn't have a major role until near the end of the Red Ribbon Army Saga. Black is a soft-spoken, quick-witted adjutant, loyal to both Commander Red and the Red Ribbon Army. He carries out Red's orders faithfully, from handing him cigars to putting himself in harm's way to protect Red. However, Black’s loyalty is not blind; he becomes enraged when he learns Red’s true desire is to wish for height rather than world domination, leading him to betray and kill Red. He briefly takes control of the Red Ribbon Army, renaming it the Black Ribbon Army, before being defeated by Goku. Black is also a capable fighter, particularly when using his self-developed Battle Jacket.
