Colonel Silver

Colonel Silver (シルバー大佐, Shirubā Taisa) is a high-ranking officer in the Red Ribbon Army featured in the Dragon Ball series. He is one of the early antagonists encountered by Goku. Colonel Silver plays a relatively minor role in the manga, but has a more substantial presence in the anime due to the Red Ribbon Army being introduced earlier in the anime adaptation. He is known for his strong fighting skills, proficiency in marksmanship, and love for weapons. Unlike most officers, Colonel Silver does not immediately resort to violence and threats to gain information, preferring to ask questions first. His personality varies across different dubs; for example, he is portrayed as quiet and serious in the Japanese dub, while in the Funimation English dub he is cold, aggressive, yet courteous to superiors. Colonel Silver briefly steals Goku's Dragon Balls but is quickly defeated. He is later called back to Red Ribbon headquarters for his failure, where his fate remains ambiguous, and he does not reappear in the later parts of the series.
