Colonel Violet

Colonel Violet (バイオレット大佐, Baioretto Taisa) is a female officer in the Red Ribbon Army from the Dragon Ball series. She appears briefly in the manga, handing a Dragon Ball to Commander Red. In the anime, her role is slightly increased, though still minor. While valuing her payment from the Red Ribbon Army, she demonstrates a callous disregard for the army's goals and soldiers. For example, when an alligator attacks her and her soldiers, she throws two of them overboard as bait while escaping to shore. Another instance is when her pilot is killed by natives, she shows no concern and takes off. However, in the same scene, she shows concern for a frightened baby monkey, comforting it and helping it escape the melee. During Goku's invasion of the Red Ribbon Army headquarters, she runs to the vault, blows it open, and steals all the army's valuables (except for the Dragon Balls). She makes a brief flashback appearance in the Androids Saga of Dragon Ball Z when Master Roshi tells Maron about Goku's battle against the Red Ribbon Army. In the movie Dragon Ball: The Path to Power, she's sent to retrieve the final Dragon Ball from Goku, but is shot down by Goku while piloting an orange jet.
