Idasa

Idasa (イダーサ) is a character from the Dragon Ball series, first appearing in the junior division of the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. He is a tall and thin boy with long blonde hair, white skin, and noticeable pecs and abs. When participating in the tournament, he was shirtless and wore brown pants, bandages around his forearms, fingers and waist, as well as black kung fu shoes. Idasa is cocky and arrogant, believing himself to be strong, but in reality, he is rather weak. During his match, he taunts his opponent Trunks and is subsequently defeated easily. His name, "Idasa," is an anagram of the Japanese word "dasai" (ダサイ), meaning "lame" or "out of fashion". According to creator Akira Toriyama, the name came about because he thought Idasa's hairstyle was uncool. In the Majin Buu saga, Idasa reveals Trunks' location to his mother, which leads to Babidi and his group showing up and indirectly causes a crisis in West City. Later, Idasa dies when Majin Buu destroys Earth, but is resurrected with the Dragon Balls. Idasa also appears in video games such as Dragon Ball Z: Buu's Fury.
