Dende

Dende (デンデ) is a Namekian character from the Dragon Ball series. He is the 108th son of Grand Elder Guru and possesses the unique ability to heal others. He is introduced during the Frieza Saga, where he is rescued by Gohan and Krillin. Later, at Goku's request, Dende takes over as the Guardian of Earth, succeeding Kami. Dende is gentle and soft-spoken, initially shy but grows to be loyal to his friends and to Earth. Although not a fighter, he supports the protagonists with his healing power. He plays a crucial role in several key moments, such as healing warriors during the battle against Frieza and recreating the Earth's Dragon Balls after Kami merges with Piccolo. He is a reliable ally to the Z fighters and a vital character, despite not being a strong combatant. Dende uses his kindness and healing to help defend the Earth through many significant battles.
