Tsuno, also known as Elder Tsuno, is a Namekian character in the Dragon Ball series. He is the village elder, second in age only to his father, the Grand Elder Guru. Tsuno's village is comprised of three warrior-type Namekians and fifteen members of the Dragon Clan. During the Frieza Saga, Vegeta, having betrayed Frieza, kills Tsuno and all of the villagers in his pursuit of the four-star Dragon Ball. Because the Namekian Dragon Balls only revived those killed by Frieza and his henchmen, Tsuno and his villagers were not revived. Tsuno is first mentioned by Dende in the manga, and other Namekians also refer to him in the anime. In some English versions, he is also referred to as "Elder Caracol." Tsuno's Japanese name is a pun on the word for "horn." His death, and the destruction of his village, serves to highlight Vegeta's brutality and his desire for the Dragon Balls within the Dragon Ball storyline.
