Android 16

Android 16, also known as Artificial Human No. 16, is a character from the Dragon Ball series, created by Dr. Gero. He was designed as Dr. Gero’s instrument of revenge against Goku, but was later deemed unfit for activation due to his kind nature. 16 is the tallest of all the androids, with icy blue eyes, a red/orange mohawk, and gold hoop earrings. His attire includes a dark undersuit, a lime green vest, boots, and bracers. He sports the Red Ribbon Army logo on his chest, which later is replaced by the Capsule Corp. logo. He was modeled after Dr. Gero’s deceased son, Gevo. Though his initial programming was to kill Goku, he develops a deep love for nature and animals, and forms a bond with Gohan. He is known for his calm and reserved demeanor, speaking only when necessary. His power is formidable, yet his heart is peaceful. Ultimately, he sacrifices himself to protect the Earth and nature, and his death catalyzes Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 awakening. In some timelines, he is not activated, while in others, he is reactivated and joins the fight. He is notable for being created entirely from synthetic technology, setting him apart from other androids. He is also the only character to acknowledge that Androids 17 and 18 are not evil.
