Gregory

Gregory (グレゴリー) is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball series, first appearing in the anime Dragon Ball Z. He is King Kai's attendant, a small cricket-like creature. Gregory is lively and somewhat arrogant, very respectful of his master, King Kai, but talks trash to those he considers inferior. He often participates in King Kai's training; for example, when Goku first arrived on King Kai's planet, he had to hit the fast-moving Gregory with a hammer. Although Gregory never appeared in the manga, he made a strong impression on viewers in the anime with his unique personality and appearance. He assists Goku's training on King Kai's planet, alongside King Kai and Bubbles. Later, when Cell self-destructed, Gregory sacrificed himself along with King Kai, Goku, and Bubbles. Nevertheless, in Dragon Ball Super, Gregory still appears in spirit form, continuing to work alongside King Kai. While not a central character in the Dragon Ball story, Gregory, as King Kai's assistant, adds vitality to the work with his lively personality and unique image.
