Yakon

Yakon (ヤコン) is a villainous character in the Dragon Ball series, first appearing in the Majin Buu Saga of Dragon Ball Z. He is one of Babidi's henchmen, a gigantic, carnivorous, vaguely insectoid monster with long claws, hailing from the Planet of Darkness. Yakon's primary ability is to absorb light energy, giving him an advantage when fighting in the dark. During his battle with Goku, he enhances himself by consuming the light emitted from Goku's Super Saiyan transformation. However, his gluttony ultimately leads to his demise as he explodes from absorbing too much light energy. Yakon also makes a brief appearance in Dragon Ball GT, where he escapes from Hell but is quickly defeated by Trunks. Despite his power, Yakon possesses relatively low combat intelligence and is ultimately defeated by Goku exploiting his weakness for light energy. Overall, Yakon is an impressive, yet somewhat tragic villain in the Dragon Ball series.
