Tarles (Turlus)

Turles, also spelled Tullece, is the main antagonist of the Dragon Ball Z film *The Tree of Might*. He is a Saiyan warrior who bears a striking resemblance to Goku, but represents what Goku would have become if he hadn't hit his head as a baby and thus retained his Saiyan characteristics. Turles was once part of Frieza's army before breaking off to form his own space pirate group, the Turles Crusher Corps. He seeks to plant the Tree of Might on planets, consuming its fruit to gain immense power. He arrives on Earth, planting the tree and engaging in conflict with the Z Fighters. Turles possesses standard Saiyan abilities like flight, energy manipulation, and the ability to transform into a Great Ape. He utilizes various energy attacks and martial arts techniques, proving to be a formidable foe. Turles has appeared in various other Dragon Ball media, including video games and OVAs, typically portrayed as a ruthless and powerful antagonist. He serves as a dark reflection of Goku, exploring the idea of what Goku might have become without his head injury. He is ultimately defeated by Goku, who absorbs the energy of the Tree of Might to overpower him.
