Tapion (タピオン) is a minor protagonist in the Dragon Ball series, first appearing in the movie "Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon." He is a legendary hero from the planet Konats. Long ago, he and his younger brother Minotia used magical flutes and a priest's enchanted sword to bisect the giant monster Hirudegarn, preventing its destruction. To ensure Hirudegarn's eternal imprisonment, Tapion sealed the upper half within his own body, while Minotia sealed the lower half. Both were then sealed into music boxes. A thousand years later, the evil Kashvar wizard Hoi released Tapion, leading to Hirudegarn's resurrection. Initially solitary and wary, Tapion gradually opens up after befriending Trunks. He wields powerful swordsmanship and flute-playing abilities, allowing him to control or seal Hirudegarn. Ultimately, with the help of Goku and others, Hirudegarn is destroyed, and Tapion returns to his planet via a time machine. He gifted his sword to Trunks, and in a parallel future timeline, helped seal away Hirudegarn there as well.
