Goten

Son Goten is a major character in the Dragon Ball series, the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi, and younger brother of Gohan. Goten is a Saiyan/Human hybrid. Due to Goku's death in the Cell Games, Goten was raised by his mother and older brother for the first seven years of his life. He is best friends with Trunks. Goten displayed remarkable power at a very young age, and could even transform into a Super Saiyan by age seven. He first appears in Dragon Ball Z during the Majin Buu saga and, despite his young age, is already a powerful fighter. He and Trunks participate in the World Martial Arts Tournament and compete in the adult division disguised as "Mighty Mask." Goten and Trunks learn the fusion technique, transforming into Gotenks to fight Majin Buu. Goten has a smaller role in Dragon Ball GT but also appears in Dragon Ball Super. He is known for his optimistic, kind-hearted, and playful nature and, like his father, he loves to fight and eat, but is not fond of studying. Goten's hairstyle and appearance are very similar to Goku's as a child, but they change later on.
