Li Long

Li Long (リ・ロン, Ri Ron) is a fictional character in the Soulcalibur series of video games. He first appeared in Soul Edge and returned as a bonus character in Soulcalibur III. Li Long is an assassin from the Ming Dynasty in China, initially tasked with assassinating a Japanese pirate leader and retrieving the stolen Soul Edge. However, during his mission, he falls in love with Chie, the daughter of a Japanese innkeeper. After Chie is presumed dead, Li Long embarks on a quest for revenge, seeking the legendary Soul Edge and fighting numerous swordsmen. He later learns that Chie is alive and has borne his child. Li Long wields a pair of nunchaku with mounted blades, and his fighting style is swift and deadly. In the series, Li Long is portrayed as a tragic figure whose quest for revenge and the pain of losing his love make him one of the most memorable characters. His fighting style later served as the basis for Maxi, but in Soulcalibur III, he has his own unique moveset.
