Inferno

Inferno (インフェルノ) is the main antagonist in the Soulcalibur series, serving as the final boss in the first three games. He first appeared in Soul Blade under the name SoulEdge. Inferno is the embodiment of the cursed sword Soul Edge's will, an amalgamation of the countless souls it has devoured. His goal is to gather souls and destroy Soul Calibur, the holy sword that opposes him. Inferno often appears as a fiery humanoid figure and can change his appearance based on the host he controls, typically wielding Soul Edge itself. In battles, he can mimic the fighting styles of other characters and possesses immense destructive power. Inferno wields immense power, can manipulate flames, absorb souls, and distort reality. A ruthless villain, he thrives on pain and chaos, and is an essential symbol of evil in the Soulcalibur series.
