Girardot Argezas

Girardot Argezas (ジラルド・アルゼザス) is a fictional character in the Soulcalibur series of fighting games. He first appears in Soulcalibur III's Chronicles of the Sword mode, initially as the player's mentor and ally, later becoming a rebel enemy. He is also an unlockable Bonus Character in the main game. Girardot represents the "Lance" Create-a-Fighter discipline. Girardot was one of the best tacticians and soldiers in the Grandall Empire, known for his cold-minded and dirty tactics. He believed that victory was the only justice and was not hesitant to use low tactics to achieve it. After becoming the instructor of the Parousia Academy, he began to doubt himself, realizing that the students he trained were all marching to their deaths. To atone, he vowed to protect the land and its people. After witnessing Emperor Strife's tyranny, Girardot formed a rebel army. In the battle of Chronicle 15, after being defeated by the player, he attempts to persuade the player to fight for the people, only to be killed by Strife with Soul Edge. Girardot's weapon is named "Absolution," his fighting style is "Largus Apostolus," and he uses a lance, known for his powerful long-range attacks.
