  • English: Ivy/Isabella Valentine
Isabella "Ivy" Valentine, known in Japanese as イザベラ・バレンタイン - アイヴィー, is a character in the Soulcalibur series of fighting games. She has appeared in every game since the first Soulcalibur. Ivy has become one of the most recognizable and iconic characters in the franchise, primarily due to her snake sword, large breasts, revealing clothing, and silver hair. Some consider Ivy evil because of her Machiavellian philosophy and femme fatale appearance. She is driven by the desire to obtain the Soul Calibur in order to sever her bond with the Soul Edge. Beneath her cold demeanor is a heart that desires freedom from a cursed life and will do whatever it takes to be free. Ivy is a neutrally-aligned character who does not kill for pleasure but only harms those deserving of punishment and judgment. She also exhibits sophistication, confidence, and intellectualism, spending much of her time researching how to counter Soul Edge.
