Akagi

Akagi (赤城, あかぎ) is a prominent character in the game and anime series "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん), also known as KanColle. She is a ship girl (kanmusu) based on the Imperial Japanese Navy's aircraft carrier Akagi from World War II. In the game, Akagi is portrayed as a kind, gentle, and slightly airheaded older sister figure, but she is also a reliable and powerful aircraft carrier on the battlefield. She is recognizable by her long brown hair, red and white miko-style clothing, and bow and arrow, along with flight deck-shaped equipment on her arm and waist. Due to her high resource consumption in the game, she is often jokingly referred to as a "glutton" or "big eater." Akagi plays a significant role in various "Kantai Collection" adaptations, including anime and manga. Her appearance and story are beloved by many fans. Akagi can undergo several upgrades in the game, including Akagi Kai, Akagi Kai Ni, and Akagi Kai Ni E, each boosting her abilities and altering her appearance. Her character design blends historical ship features with moe elements, making her a standout kanmusu.
