Shirayuki

Shirayuki is a character in the Japanese browser game Kantai Collection (KanColle), also known as Combined Fleet Girls Collection. She is the second ship of the Fubuki-class destroyers. In the game, she is depicted as a diligent and respectful Kanmusu (ship girl) towards the admiral (player). Shirayuki has brown hair in pigtails, wears a short-sleeved sailor uniform (serafuku), and holds her cannon similar to Fubuki. She is known for her love of armaments, and even collects shell casings in the Fubuki Ganbarimasu manga. Shirayuki has both normal and remodeled (Kai) forms in the game, with the Kai version having improved stats and an additional equipment slot. Her name, "Shirayuki," meaning "White Snow," is derived from Emperor Shōwa's favorite white stallion. Historically, the Shirayuki destroyer participated in several battles in World War II, including the Sunda Strait Battle and the Second Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, before being sunk in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea. She also appears in manga and anime adaptions of Kantai Collection, and plays a significant role in the second season of the anime.
