Houshou

Houshou (鳳翔, Hōshō) is a character from the game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle), based on the Japanese aircraft carrier Houshou. She is known as the world's first commissioned ship that was designed and built as an aircraft carrier, and this is reflected in her in-game portrayal. Houshou is often depicted as a gentle and mature woman, wearing attire inspired by Japanese kyudo (archery), and holding a bow. She is one of the early-implemented ship girls in the game, with multiple forms such as Houshou Kai, Houshou Kai Ni, and Houshou Kai Ni Sen, each featuring different artwork and stats. In the game, Houshou primarily functions as a light aircraft carrier, excelling in anti-submarine warfare. Her personality is calm and caring, often acting like a mother figure to other ship girls, making her a beloved character among players. Her voice lines and quotes reflect her tender nature, frequently asking the admiral if they need rest or tea. She is also a popular choice for 'marriage' in the game. Houshou also appears in the "Kantai Collection" anime.
