Nagara

Nagara (長良, なが) is a Kanmusu character in the game "Kantai Collection" (艦隊これくしょん, KanColle). She is the lead ship of the Nagara-class light cruisers. In the game, Nagara is known for her athletic personality, with many of her lines related to exercise and working out. She is often portrayed as an energetic character who enjoys running and physical training. Historically, the real-life Nagara was sunk by an American submarine in 1944, but in the game, she becomes an important member of the player's fleet. Nagara is characterized by her high speed, strong torpedo attack capabilities, and her expertise in commanding torpedo squadrons, making her a popular choice for leading destroyer units. She also served as Admiral Nagumo's flagship after the carrier Akagi was abandoned. In the game's lore, Nagara considers herself a capable commander of destroyers despite being an older model and proudly mentions her participation in fierce battles in the Solomon Sea. Nagara's voice actress is Yuka Iguchi, and her illustrations are done by Kuu Ro Kuro.
