Furutaka

Furutaka is a heavy cruiser kanmusu (ship girl) from the game *Kantai Collection*, based on the Imperial Japanese Navy heavy cruiser *Furutaka*. She is one of the early characters introduced in the game, popular among players for her unique design and strong heavy cruiser personality. Furutaka is known for her somewhat youthful appearance and slightly mechanized gear, most notably her unique heterochromia with a searchlight on her left eye. She often emphasizes the merits of heavy cruisers and takes pride in her activities with the Mikawa Fleet. Throughout the game, Furutaka has undergone multiple upgrades, including a later Kai Ni (second remodel) form, making her more competitive in combat. Although her performance was relatively low in the early versions, she has become an indispensable part of many admiral’s (player's) fleets after several updates. She is beloved for her kind, earnest character, and occasional displays of girlish cuteness.
