Maya is a character from the game *Kantai Collection* (KanColle), a third ship of the Takao-class heavy cruisers. She is characterized by her short brown hair and blue eyes, with protrusions on her head that represent details of the main tower. In the game, Maya initially wears a blue blouse that bares her midriff and a white skirt, but after her second remodel, her outfit changes to a white and green blouse, emphasizing her role as an anti-air cruiser. Maya is portrayed as a boisterous and tough girl who refers to herself as "Maya-sama" and is confident in her strength. She was active in the Southern Operations and battles in the Solomon Sea, but struggles against submarines. Maya has three forms in the game: Maya, Maya Kai, and Maya Kai Ni, each with different stats and equipment. Maya Kai Ni is particularly known for her excellent anti-air capabilities, surpassing many other ship girls, making her a crucial part of fleet air defense. She can also trigger special anti-air cut-in attacks with specific equipment combinations, further enhancing her anti-air capabilities. Although Maya is a heavy cruiser, she can gain significant firepower through equipment and remodeling, making her a well-rounded offensive and defensive character.
